APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
Integrated Web Service (IWS) web service deployments fail
intermittently with an IWS00230E - "Install of Web service
failed" & "java.lang.Exception: CL command failed to run
successfully." messages in the
/QIBM/UserData/OS/ADMININST/admin4/wlp/usr/servers/admin4/logs/m
essages.log file because the USER() parameter in the CL command
specified is empty and does not list a user profile value.

The complete message indicating the issue would look something
like this. As you can see, the USER() parameter is empty, which
is causing the CHGAUT CL command to fail.

java.lang.Exception: CL command failed to run successfully.
Command:
QSYS/CHGAUT
OBJ('/www/<IWSserver>/webservices/temp/<webServiceName>_16617906
59665') USER() DTAAUT(*NONE) OBJAUT(*NONE) SUBTREE(*ALL)
SYMLNK(*NO)
CPD2211-Specify either AUTL or USER.
CPF0001-Error found on CHGAUT command.

This issue is intermittent and does not occur for every web
service deployment, even with the same IWS server instance.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE78429 :
-----------------------------
The IWS makes usage of new Java toolbox AS400 objects on various
operations.  This may be the cause of the problem.  Code changes
will be made to eliminate the usage of multiple AS400 objects.
In addition, a check will be made to ensure the AS400 object
that is used is valid.

Finally, additional trace points will be added to reveal what
object is being used.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE78429 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE78455 :
-----------------------------------------------
The connect and I/O timeout values for the transport APIs can
only be specified in seconds.  There is no way to specify
milliseconds.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE78455 :
-----------------------------
Two new properties have been added in order to specify
millisecond granularity when using the client transport API.
The properties are:

AXISC_PROPERTY_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_MILLI
The next parameter must be a pointer to an integer.  The integer
value will be used
as the connect timeout value. A value less than one will result
in the system default
connect timeout to be used. The specified value is in
milliseconds.

AXISC_PROPERTY_IO_TIMEOUT_MILLI
The next parameter must be a pointer to an integer.  The integer
value will be used
as the I/O timeout value. A value less than one will result in
an indefinite wait.
The specified value is in milliseconds.
