APAR Error Description / Circumvention

The list of migration policy levels presented by the Content
Manager OnDemand plugin for IBM Navigator for i might not be
sorted according to the order that the user originally
specified.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE56625' :

The list is now always sorted according to the user's
specification.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'SE56625' :

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR 'SE58376' :
-------------------------------------------------
The following problems have been found in release 7.1 of the
Content Manager OnDemand plugin for IBM Navigator for i:

1. Creation of a tape or optical volume during the month of
January fails.
2. No message is given when a policy cannot be deleted because
archived data exists.
3. Creation of a migration policy might fail when the backup
storage group selection pulldown is used.
4. No message is given when an attempt is made to remove the
only level from a migration policy.
5. Attempts to remove a level from a policy might have no
effect.

The following problems have been found in releases 7.1 and 7.2
of the Content Manager OnDemand plugin for IBM Navigator for i:

6. Changes to policy names and level identifiers are permitted.
7. Prohibited characters are permitted in policy and level
names.
8. Cannot create a policy name that includes the dollar sign ($)
character.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE58376' :

The problems have been fixed as follows:

1. The logic that calculates the month portion of the volume
creation date has been fixed.
2. A message is displayed when a policy cannot be deleted
because archived data exists.
3. The handling of the backup storage group selection pulldown
has been corrected.
4. A message is displayed when an attempt is made to remove the
only level from a migration policy.
5. All attempts to remove a level from a policy are now honored.
6. Input is now inhibited for the policy name and level
identifier during change attempts.
7. The check for prohibited characters in policy and level names
has been corrected.
8. The handling of policy names has been corrected to allow the
dollar sign ($) character.

The HTTP Admin server must be ended and restarted for this fix to be
activated.

To end the HTTP Admin server, enter the End TCP/IP Server command:

ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Then, to restart the HTTP Admin server, enter the Start TCP/IP Server
command:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
