APAR Error Description / Circumvention

When print is requested for an application with data type
SCS-Extended, the data may not print correctly.



The ability to preserve the userdata attribute from the printer
file named in the application is needed when requesting a server
print.




CORRECTION FOR APAR SE44142 :
-----------------------------
When print is requested for an application with data type
SCS-Extended, the data will now print correctly.



A new option has been provided to preserve the userdata from the
printer file named in the application when using data area
ARSPRT400.  Data area ARSPRT400 data area must be created in
library QUSRRDARS as type *CHAR with a length of 10.  Four
options can be specified for the ARSPRT400 data area are *APPL,
*APPLGRP, *USERID, and *USERDATA.  For example, use the
following command to create the data area with an initial value
of *USERDATA to preserve the userdata from the printer file
named in the application:

CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRRDARS/ARSPRT400) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10)
VALUE(*USERDATA)
