APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
MSGMCH1210 occurs during PRTCPTRPT from program CBLABRANCH to
program QPTCPTWK at instruction 10C9. The Disk Activity section
of the report is partially printed due to the error.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE41037 :
-----------------------------
A reset of the device cache read hit counters can cause large
delta values to appear in field DSDCRH in file QAPMDISK. When
this occurs, the calculation of total device cache read hits can
cause a variable to overflow. If the calculation of total device
cache read hits exceeds the maximum value (2,147,483,647) that
can be stored in the variable, then the total device cache read
hits will be set to that maximum value.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE41037 :
--------------------------------
None.
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE41038 :
-----------------------------------------------
The component report (PRTCPTRPT) Disk Activity section displays
incorrect output for the device cache read hit % for IOP-less
multipath disk units.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE41038 :
-----------------------------
The device cache read hit % is calculated by dividing the total
device cache read hits (DSDCRH) by the total device read
operations (DSDROP). The total device read operations was being
incorrectly calculated for IOP-less multipath disk units. The
DSDROP field is now handled as device level counts for IOP-less
multipath disk units and path level counts for multipath disk
units managed by an IOP.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE41038 :

None.
