Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs.  By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.

This PTF is subject to the terms of the 'IBM License Agreement for Machine
Code', the terms of which were provided in a printed document that was
delivered with the machine.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
SLB (Segment Lookaside Buffer) entries are used to resolve
Process Local Addresses (PLA) for Teraspace and PASE (Portable
Application Solution Environment) applications. Improper
serialization allows the structure that tracks SLB entries to be
updated while being read, leading to duplicate entries. Once the
duplicates are encountered, the hardware diagnostics take an
exception. If this exception happens frequently enough, the
system may decide the processor involved is failing, and flag
the processor for deconfiguration on the next full system IPL.

The hardware detection would be shown as a Platform Event Log
(PEL) with the following SRCs:
src word 1: srcB113E504 B113E504
src word 8: srcC8E90022 C8E90022 LS_SLB_MULTIHIT_ERR

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA46392 :
-----------------------------
LIC is changed to avoid adding duplicate entries to the SLB.
