PSFTP client prints misleading error message for invalid GET when connected to the SFTP front side handler

Troubleshooting

Problem

When the PuTTY PSFTP client is connected to an SFTP front side handler and a GET operation is performed for a file that does not exist, an incorrect error message is printed.

Symptom

For a GET operation on a nonexistent file, the PSFTP client prints the following message:

error while reading: failure

The expected message is:

no such file or directory

The system might also log a series of failed read requests.
