Project Adapter Floating Menu Hidden When Using MS Project 2010

Troubleshooting

Problem

When MS Project 2010 opens you cannot see the floating menu that you normally see when you are using the Maximo Adapter for Microsoft Project.

Cause

MS Project 2010 has a new task notification alert that puts the Project Adapter floating menu in the background to be hidden forever.

Resolving The Problem

In order to resolve this issue, you must turn off Task Notifications in MS Project 2010.

To turn them off:
- Open MS Project 2010
- Right click where you see the message "New Tasks are created"
- A Shortcut menu will display.
- In the Shortcut menu, click on "New Task Mode Notification" to turn off the check mark.

Now the Task Notification alert will no longer appear when you start MS Project 2010 and you will be able to see the Floating menu.
