This tip documents processor support with the available System x3650 system boards.

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:

System x3650, type 1914, any model
System x3650, type 7979, any model

Solution

When replacing a System x3650 system board, ensure that the system board ordered supports the processor that was originally shipped with the server.

The following list documents processor support for all System x3650 system boards in the order of release:
