Troubleshooting
Problem
If there are object types (whether custom or out of the box) in the system which are not included in the Cascade Delete setting, then deletion of the object type’s parent may result in instances of child object types becoming orphans. Orphans are objects with no parents. To find if there are any orphan objects in your system, you can run the out of the box platform report "Administrative Reports\Disassociated Objects". You can also add the "Orphan" system field on the Filtered List View of all the OpenPages GRC object types one at a time and filter on the objects with no parents. In OpenPages version 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 Fresh installs with Solutions, some out of the box object types are missing from the Cascade Delete setting.
Symptom
Orphans get created as a result of deleting the parent object instances.
