How can you verify or test data records display in the correct background color with IBM Rational Robot scripts?

Answer

This PowerBuilder 9.0 sample has a red DataWindow background color. It can be used to verify or test data records display in the correct background color with Robot scripts.

Steps to run the sample.


  1. Download attached bgcolor.zip and unzip all files to a new folder.

  2. Edit the registry file pbsample.reg attached with the sample. Modify Driver, Start, DataBaseFile & DataBaseName in the registry file according to your Sybase SQL Anywhere Server configuration.

  3. Import the registry file by double clicking on pbsample.reg file.

  4. Start PowerBuilder sample by double clicking on dw_backgroundcolor.exe.



    Note: Robot supports DataWindow object background colors. If the PowerBuilder application does not make the controls background transparent (for example, if Background.Mode is transparent (1)), Background.Color is ignored, thereby preventing Robot from capturing any colors.
