POST numeric error codes - IBM eServer xSeries 305

Troubleshooting

Problem

Diagnosing POST numeric error codes on the IBM eServer xSeries 305

Resolving The Problem

Note: In the following error codes, if XXX is 000, 195, or 197, do not replace a FRU. The description for these error codes are:

  • 000 The test passed.
  • 195 The Esc key was pressed to stop the test.
  • 197 This is a warning error and may not indicate a hardware failure.

For all error codes, replace the FRU or take the action indicated.

Note: See the parts listing in the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) to determine which components should be replaced by a field service technician.
