Problem
The error message "Processor missing microcode" appears during the the POST. The failure can be observed if any of following E0 stepping processors is installed with system BIOS V1.01, or prior level. Symptom
The error message "Processor missing microcode" appears during the the POST.
The failure can be observed if any of following E0 stepping processors is installed with system BIOS V1.01, or prior level. The E0 stepping CPUID "1067A" can be identified from BIOS configuration and setup menu.

- System x3610, type 7942, any model

The following system BIOS level(s) are affected:
- BIOS version 1.01 (BHE115A) or prior level
Solution
This behavior is corrected in BIOS version 1.02 BHE118A.

Workaround
The user could ignore the POST error message and update BIOS to version 1.02 build ID BHE118A, or later, for E0 stepping processor support.How to identify CPU ID:
- Press F1 -> Enter BIOS Configuration/Setup Utility.
- Select System Information under Main menu.
Additional information
BIOS version 1.01, or prior level, does not support E0 stepping processors.
The symptom can be resolved by updating BIOS version 1.02 build ID BHE118A, or later.
