Troubleshooting
Problem
I am running a multivariate Analysis of Variance with the GLM command (Analyze>General Linear Model>Multivariate) on a set of multiple imputation data. The data file was generated by the Multiple Imputation procedure and the imputation variable is correctly named Imputation_. There are 5 imputed samples in the file with the original sample. I have assigned Imputation_ as the Split File Layered variable. The Help topic "Analyzing Multiple Imputation Data" lists GLM Univariate, GLM Multivariate and GLM Repeated among the "Procedures that Support Pooling". However, the pooled results are not printed in the tables where they are expected: Between-Subjects Factors (N); Descriptives (Mean, N); Parameter Estimates (B); Estimated Marginal Means (Mean, Mean Difference in Pairwise Comparisons). Only the results for the original sample and each of the imputed samples are printed. If i run a univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the GLM command and just one of the dependent variables, the pooled results are missing from the output as well. Likewise, if I run a repeated measures analysis with the GLM command, defining the dependent variables as a within-subjects factor, the pooled results are also missing. However, if I run the ANOVA with the UNIANOVA command, but with all of the same subcommands and specifications as the GLM ANOVA run, the pooled results are printed as expected. Do these results reflect a bug in the GLM command?
