Policy to set Notes 8 theme.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Administrators may want to standardized their Notes environment to use a specific theme, in most cases they want to use the Notes 8 theme after upgrading to Notes 9.0.1

Resolving The Problem


Administrators can create or modify an existing Desktop policy settings to apply these changes.

1. Using the Notes or Administrator client, open the Domino Directory (names.nsf) on the Domino server.
2. Click the People & Groups tab, and open the Settings view.
3. Click Add Settings, open the Desktop Settings tab, and click the Custom Settings tab.
4. Click Managed Settings.
5. Click Edit List to open a panel that enables you to add the Eclipse pluginID/preferenceID=preferenceValue value pair(s).
6. Add the following entries in the fields:
Item: CURRENT_THEME_ID
Value:
com.ibm.notes.branding.notesTheme
Plug-in name:
org.eclipse.ui

Item: WED_THEME_PREFERENCE
Value:
com.ibm.notes.branding.theme
Plug-in name:
com.ibm.rcp.ui

Note: Click Add/Modify Value each time you add an entry.

After adding the values, the Policy will automatically take place.
