ERROR DESCRIPTION:
The getDistributedMap method does not return the base cache, but rather the default cache.
LOCAL FIX:
none
PROBLEM SUMMARY
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 who use the WebSphere Application Server servlet and command caching.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The getDistributedMap method does not return the base cache, but rather the default cache.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
Currently, in order to issue invalidations for cacheable commands, clients use the DynamicCacheAccessor.getDistributedMap() method to issue invalidations to the baseCache. The getDistributedMap method does not return the base cache, but rather the default cache, contrary to what the documentation says.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The non-backward compatible behavior contrary to the documented behavior for the getDistributedMap method in the DynamicCacheAccessor API has been corrected.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
