When starting the IBM Netcool ping probe, why does the following message occur?
Ping probe log file :
Debug: D-P_P-002-032: Packet not for our PID. Discarding.
Debug: D-P_P-002-031: Packet not ICMP_ECHOREPLY.
Discarding. We searched the documentation and that mentions: Packet not for our PID:
Discarding Packet not ICMP_ECHORPLY:
Discarding Packet too short:
Discarding The probe received a packet in an unexpected format.
Check that the device is running correctly.
What does this error mean exactly and what is meant by "the device" ?
