PHYP Memory Requirements

Troubleshooting

Problem

PHYP memory requirements are discussed in this document.

Resolving The Problem

PHYP memory requirements are discussed in this document.

When going from one EC level to another of server firmware (for example, from SF225 to SF230), it is possible for the amount of memory required by PHYP to change. An increase in the amount of PHYP memory needed can result in an extra LMB (logical memory block) being allocated. Depending on the platform configuration, this increase ranges from 16MB to 256MB.
