Permission Denied error when trying to enable code coverage from command line on Linux

Troubleshooting


Problem

If you attempt to enable code coverage and instrument your application by running the code coverage scripts from a command line, you receive the error message "Permission Denied."

Symptom

The "Permission Denied" error occurs when you run the following code coverage scripts to enable code coverage and instrument your application:

  • [RAD_PLUGINS]/com.ibm.rational.llc.engine_1.1.101.v20130418_0345/Scripts/dynamic/appinfo.sh
  • [RAD_PLUGINS]/com.ibm.rational.llc.engine_1.1.101.v20130418_0345/Scripts/static/instrument.sh
