Problem
This technote explains how to resolve, Perl: Error: perlswitch: fileutl_abspn of /opt/rational/clearcase cannot be found, that can occur when using the IBM® Rational® ClearCase® (CC) Job Scheduler.
Symptom
In the scheduler logs, you may see errors similar to the following:
Job 2 "Daily VOB Snapshots" (21539) Completed: OK but with messages:
"Perl: Error: perlswitch: fileutl_abspn of /opt/rational/clearcase cannot be found "
You may also see the following error:
> setenv CLEARCASEHOME /opt/rational/clearcase
> unset CCHOME
> /usr/atria/bin/Perl -v
Perl: Error: perlswitch: fileutl_abspn of /opt/rational/clearcase cannot be found
