Problem
When performing an adhoc search using the Content Platform Engine API or from out-of-the-box applications such as IBM FileNet P8 Workplace or Workplace XT, some searches might be slow because of the type of query optimization clause that is used. Changes to the query optimization hint however, should only be tried after all standard tuning approaches are tried first, such as indexing, statistics, and client search modifications.
