Performance test fails with error "Failed to start all agents"

Troubleshooting


Problem

A performance test cannot be started in IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) of IBM Rational Test Workbench (RTW) giving error "Connection refused".

Symptom

  • The performance test console of RIT displays the following message:

    [Error] Error executing test: Unknown exception whilst attempting to execute a performance test, Failed to start all agents.
  • The IBM Rational Integration Tester Agent (RIT-Agent) outputs a console message similar to the following:

    INFO: http://testserver:54313/13666295782750/0/applicationExited -> Connection refused: connect
