Presentation about tuning recommendations for WebSphere Application Server V.6 and V.7 on z/OS, including configuration considerations, z/OS system tuning, WebSphere and application tuning, and the effective use of tools.Objectives: Understand when and how to use the appropriate tools:- WebSphere configuration options, topologies, and performance trade-offs- Placement, size, and number of servers- Various Environmental properties and WebSphere variables- Performance monitoring and workload simulation tools- JVM heap size- RMF Monitors- SMF recording- Tracing and other performance trouble-shooting tools
