Troubleshooting
Problem
User find that a report opened in PDF format opens in a new window. To troubleshoot this, the user checks their settings (inside Adobe Reader) under 2Edit -> Preferences -> Internet". Curiously, this shows the correct value ("Display PDF in browser" is enabled/selected). In addition, Cognos Connection will show the viewer as a blank page, when hitting the return button a message "Page display error" will flash and then the portal will be refreshed correctly. ]
Symptom
"Correct" settings for Adobe Reader 8.1.2 appear to be ignored by the client device.
