PDF is rendered with missing text when using Internet Explorer11

Troubleshooting


Problem

Some PDF documents are rendered in IBM Daeja ViewONE Virtual with blank white space in place of the text when IE11 is used on a Windows10 PC.
The issue is specific to certain  PDF documents.
The issue is specific to where PDF documents are rendered on the client (default since version 5.0.6+)
Other browsers do not exhibit the same issue and render the text as expected.

Symptom

The PDF document displays but where there is text that can be seen when rendering the document in Adobe Reader, the same text is missing completely when the PDF is rendered in Daeja ViewONE Virtual.
In the browser developer tools console, the following error text is seen:
CSS3111 : @font-face encountered unknown error.
