Troubleshooting
Problem
While examining Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) logs, typically parsed by Dynamic System Analysis (DSA), the following message may displayed in the IPMI log: PCI device has an invalid PCI configuration space header 1 (Unknown Sensor Type - SEL Fullness): Assertion: Upper Non-critical - going high. Trigger threshold value: 75.00% messages. Trigger reading: 100.00% messages. PCI device has an invalid PCI configuration space header 1 (Unknown Sensor Type - SEL Fullness): Assertion: Upper Non-recoverable - going high. Trigger threshold value: 100.00% messages. Trigger reading: 100.00% messages. The raw data may have the following corresponding entries: FE, 01, 02, 81, D5, 91, 47, 20, 00, 04, D0, B6, 01, 57, 64, 4B FF, 01, 02, 82, D5, 91, 47, 20, 00,04, D0, B6, 01, 5B, 64, 64

Affected configurations
The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- System x3800, type 8865, any model
- System x3800, type 8866, any model
- System x3850, type 8863, any model
- System x3850, type 8864, any model
- System x3950 E, type 8874, any model
- System x3950 E, type 8879, any model
- System x3950, type 8872, any model
- System x3950, type 8878, any model
- xSeries 260, type 8865, any model
- xSeries 366, type 8863, any model
- xSeries 460, type 8872, any model
- xSeries MXE-460, type 8874, any model

Additional information
Clear the BMC log.
The last part of the message indicates "SEL fullness", which is the correct interpretation of the log entry.
Looking at the raw data, from right to left, the fifth byte (B6) is the sensor number for "SEL Fullness".
The correct action is to clear the BMC logs. No hardware should be replaced.
