Pagent address space fails to start

Troubleshooting


Problem

Pagent address space is started but immediately terminates:

$HASP395 PAGENT  ENDED

 browsing /tmp/pagent.logs shows the following error (SYSERR)

Cause

Pagent was unable to open USS file /dev/null in Read ONLY mode

Diagnosing The Problem

issue ls -l /dev/null  from the unix shell to see the permission setting for /dev/null is set to read for other

Resolving The Problem

issue chmod to set /dev/null permission to  777
