Overview
The ServeRAID-6i controller is a PCI-X controller that works directly with the onboard LSI 1030 SCSI chipset to provide RAID protected data storage to selected xSeries servers. It supports both Ultra320 and Ultra160 SCSI HD technologies.
Cost effective performance
- 133 MHz, 64-bit, low-profile PCI-X controller 400 MHz Intel IOP321 I/O processor based on xScale technology
- 128 MB ECC DDR SDRAM write-back cache with battery backup
Cost effective RAID functionality
- Support for RAID levels 0, 00, 1, 10, 5, 50, and IBM exclusive 1E, 5EE and 1E0
- Support for up to 8 logical drives composed of 16 physical drives
- Logical drive migration and auto synchronization support
- Support for stripe unit sizes of 8 KB, 16 KB, 32KB, or 64 KB
- Up to 28 physical drives supported per controller
- Support for hot and cold-swapping of HDs
- FlashCopy support - Application for tape backup, software application test, and image rollout
Investment protection, ease of use, and compatibility
Investment protection and ease-of-use is provided through the same ServeRAID Manager software used with other ServeRAID controllers. This minimizes the need for additional training of IT staff and can help lower the total cost of ownership to manage and control large numbers of ServeRAID protected, xSeries servers deployed throughout the enterprise.
With rigorous testing by IBM through the ServerProven program, you can maintain a high degree of confidence that your xSeries server storage subsystem is compatible and will function reliably. The ServeRAID 6i controller includes a three-year, limited warranty.
Warranty
Three year Customer Carry-in Exchange/Repair (CCE/CCR).
