Compatibility
PCI-X is backwards compatible with conventional PCI products, which allows existing adapters to operate within a PCI environment. PCI-X adapters can be used in either PCI-X systems or a conventional PCI environment; however, the bus speed will default to the speed of the slowest adapter.
Some configurations may not be compatible.
Cable orders required
An adapter cable is required (not included with this adapter). The appropriate industry-standard cabling must be used when connecting to Ethernet networks. Cabling is recommended.
Installation time
Approximately 15 minutes
