General InformationThe Netfinity SP Switch affords you the technology required to conquer the high speed requirements of multi-node clustering solutions of today and in the future. As an example of the Netfinity X-Architecture blueprint the Netfinity SP Switch borrows much of its advanced switching technology from the highly successful RS/6000 SP family of products. The switch not only delivers the performance and bandwidth required by your business but the switch also has incorporated many of the Enterprise class high availability technologies found in the Netfinity Server line. An Integrated Service Processor (a computer within the switch) continually monitors the operating status of various switch components enabling pro-active management. Hot-swap and redundant components ensure that your cluster solutions are available to meet for your business needs.
