General Information
In the event of a power outage, the APC Smart-UPS 5000 gives you more backup power to support enterprise class Netfinity servers in high-availability and business-critical applications. This 5 U, rack-mounted, uninterruptible power source (UPS) by American Power Conversion (APC) is designed to handle demanding power requirements until normal power can be restored or to facilitate an orderly shutdown.

The APC Smart-UPS 5000 provides 5000 Volt Amps (VA) and 3750 Watts (W) load capacity power to support:

• Up to three Netfinity 8500R servers
• Up to twelve Netfinity EXP Storage Expansion Units
• It supports up to three servers through three server links. It enables connection flexibility supporting direct connection and power distribution units (PDUs):
• Eight 10 A IEC connectors - direct device attachment
• Two 16 A IEC connectors - PDU to device attachment (includes two PDU jumper cables)
• It expands the line of compatible APC UPS offerings for Netfinity servers. Common features include:
• PowerChute Plus software - works with Netfinity Manager to monitor and manage server systems
• IBM ServerProven for configuration compatibility
• Raven-black front bezel
