IBM xSeries 336 servers are high- throughput, SMP-capable network servers with excellent scalability when you add memory and a second processor. They incorporate powerful 800 MHz Intel Xeon processors with 2 MB advanced transfer L2 cache per core. Data transfer across the system bus is at a 4X rate (four data transfers per clock) for an effective data transfer rate of 800 MHz (5.3 GB/s).
