- Four SATA ports and associated cabling
- 64 MB SDRAM cache
- Universal PCI design
-
Offers choice of RAID levels for maximum availability and performance
- RAID level 0, 1, 5, 1
- MD2 card design with Notch for installation in 3U server systems
- Uses Intel 80302 processor
- SMART enabled
|
Cost effective RAID functionality
|
|---|
- RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 - Protects data and improves availability while providing more choices for unique business needs
- Support for one logical drive composed of four physical drives
- Logical drive migration and auto synchronization support - Change RAID levels, expand logical drives, and expand arrays while enabling access to the migrating drive
- Support for stripe unit sizes of 16 KB, 32 KB, or 64 KB
- Capability to identify drive support - Lets you blink the HD identify light from a user interface
- Data consistency feature - Stripe lock table is used to keep RAID parity consistent in the event of a power loss
-
FlashCopy - Allows system administrator to:
- Make large non-disruptive backups to tape while user applications are running
- Test software enhancements and upgrades, then revert back to the previous version in the event a problem is encountered
|
Investment proctection, ease of use, and compatibility
|
|---|
Investment protection and ease of use is provided through the same ServeRAID Manager software used with other ServeRAID controllers. This minimizes the need for additional training of IT staff and can help lower the total cost of ownership to manage and control large numbers of ServeRAID protected, xSeries servers deployed throughout the enterprise.
With rigorous testing by IBM through the ServerProven program, you can maintain a high degree of confidence that your xSeries server storage subsystem is compatible and will function reliably. The ServeRAID-7t SATA Controller includes a one-year, limited warranty.
