The new GoVault drive Option offers a cost-effective solution for IBM System x server customers looking for an efficient low-cost backup product. This single drive has 80 GB drive capacity. This new drive complements the System x server line.

This backup drive is a reliable unit that supports SATA connections. It delivers convenience and ease-of-use features, while supporting high-speed backup and up to 80 GB of data storage.

Normally reserved for more expensive drives, IBM offers the following features as standard on their new GoVault drive:

• Up to 34 MB/Sec (Burst Rate (66 MB/sec)
• Up to 80 GB
• Removable disk technology
• 80 GB cartridge
• SATA interface
• Random access
• Limited one-year warranty: One year on parts and zero labor unless installed in a rack or server when purchased. Then it carries same warranty as rack or server.

This 80 GB cartridge has a file system and looks like a disk drive to the host.
