The IBM 3096 is a small, end-user desktop device that allows connection to the IBM BladeCenter HC10 over an ethernet network.
The 3096 provides connection to two digital or analog monitors, four USB 1.1 devices, HD audio speakers, and a microphone or headphone, as well as a single Ethernet connection. A desktop adapter powers the device which uses approximately 36W.
The 3096 is a high performance desktop access device. It gives the end user a true PC experience with instant screen updates, full multimedia support, and complete USB compatibility. This Workstation Blade solution enables IT management to realize the benefits of desktop centralization across their entire enterprise without the heat and noise generated by desktop PCs and workstations.

- One audio headphone-out jack
- One audio speaker-out jack
