Abstract

DOC APAR IV65016 is opened for the problem: The information of supported Oracle Call Interface (OCI) in Oracle Database Extended agent user's guide is out of date.

Content

It is about the Oracle Extended agent user's guide. The information of 'Supported Oracle Call Interface client library versions -> Table 1. Supported OCI library for each platform' in user's guide is out of date. The latest supported OS platforms are not listed here, for example, RHEL6, AIX 7.1, and Windows 2012.

This problem will be formally fixed in the next version of user's guide. The correct information are available on the Software Product Compatibility Reports for 'Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Applications 7.2.1.1>Oracle Database Extended agent 6.3.1 Fix Pack 2':

  • For the supported OCI library Operating System: Please refer to Software Product Compatibility Reports -> Operating Systems.
  • For the supported OCI library version: Please refer to Software Product Compatibility Reports -> Application servers -> Oracle Database version.
  • For the supported OCI library bitness: Use compatible OCI library with the agent. It means that use 32-bit OCI library when the agent is 32-bit; use 64-bit OCI library when the agent is 64-bit.
