Troubleshooting
Problem
When connecting the gateway to Oracle 12c, the operation fails with the following error message 'ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol.'
Symptom
1) The recommended ojdbc*.jar file and other jar files have been copied to $OMNIHOME/gatews/java.
2) The workaround which is recommended by Oracle is to set the following parameters in the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/sqlnet.ora file:
SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_CLIENT = 12a
SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER = 12a

fails to resolve the problem.
