"ORA-02024: database link not found" when using 'Database connections for publish to Data Mart'

Troubleshooting


Problem

Administrator logs onto Controller application server, and launches 'Controller Configuration'. Administrator opens the section 'Database connections for publish to Data Mart' and selects their data mart (for example 'ControllerLive'). Administrator makes a slight change (for example, changes one character, and then reverses the change) and presses save. An error occurs. =========================================== Note: For older versions of Controller (for example 8.5) a similar error occurs when the administrator clicks on green 'tick' symbol to test the connection. ===========================================

Symptom

Message will vary depending on which version of Controller is being used.
