Problem
Error Error -9, DMS-E-GENERAL, general exception has occurred during operation asynchronous open ORA-00001 Unique Constraint Table.Column violated when creating a query or running a converted report against Oracle using SQL*Net 2.2 Solution Description Listed below are possible causes of this
Symptom
1. In the Cogdmor.ini confirm that the reference to the ORAWIN dll in this file is correct. Locate the dll being used on your system and use the correct one in this ini file
2. The following is from the "Oracle Upgrade Questions" section from the "New Features Guide" in Acrobat reader:
Oracle ORA-00001 Constraint Violation Error when accessing Oracle 7.2 NT Server
When accessing Oracle 7.2 NT server via named pipes with SQL*Net 2.2 you may experience an ORA-00001 "Constraint violation". This problem is known to Oracle and a fix is available. Call Oracle support to get the fix for problem
number 355492.

ORA-00001 Unique constraint table.column violated
Cause: An update or insert statement attempted to insert a duplicate key.
Action: Either remove the unique restriction or do not insert the key.
For Trusted Oracle7 configured in DBMS MAC mode, you may see this message if a duplicate entry exists at a different level.
For more information on this error message, please contact your DBA or Oracle.
It is also recommended that you check the following:
1. Check the Autoexec.bat for path to SQL*NET & ORAWIN/BIN.
2. Confirm that the drive mapping for the search paths for SQL*NET & Oracle are correct.
3. Confirm a successful connection can be made in SQL*Plus.
