Additional information
System x3620 M3, Type 7376, has an optional capability to enable Intel software RAID. This functionality requires additional software to be downloaded from Intel.
Intel provides the support for RAID issues when Intel software RAID is implemented. For RAID issues when booted into the Operating System (OS) and application, the user must work with the OS provider or Intel.
IBM provides the hardware warranty support such as replacing defective hard drives.
IBM may require problem determination without the Intel RAID enabled for some issues.
IBM supported RAID solutions would incorporate one of the following IBM hardware RAID adapters in the server:
