Problem

This document notes the Operational Assistant cleanup functions.

Resolving The Problem

Operational Assistant did not clean up (GO CLEANUP) the programs.

Operational Assistant (OA) cleanup is not designed to clean up the entire system. It is designed to clean up only user data in the list below.

Operational Assistant cleans up the following user data:
User message queues
Workstation message queues
System operator message queues
Output queues QEZJOBLOG and QEZDEBUG
APD journal
DSNX journal
Job accounting data journal
Performance adjustments data journal
Problem databases journal
QSNADS journal
OSI message services/400 journal
History log
Problem log and files
Alerts database PTF save files
PTF Save Files from products not on the system & previous releases
Reclaim temporary storage used by temporarily decompressed objects

Notes:
1. If not in the list above, it is not cleaned up by OA Cleanup.
2. The list below contains examples of items not cleaned up by OA Cleanup.

Operational Assistant does not clean up the following:
Message queues not mentioned on the previous screen
Examples of those not deleted:
QDBSHR
QDFTOWN
QDOC
QLPAUTO
QLPINSTALL
QRJE
QSECOFR
QSPL
QSYS
QTTRQS
Output queues not mentioned in the previous section
DIA files journal
Managed System Services/400 journal
SNMP journal

Programs (for example, Query/400)
