Troubleshooting
Problem
Administer Open Source package manager or ACS package manager by using this link:
https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1022619
Each time a connection is established, a back end connection communicates to one of several IBM public RPM repositories on the Internet. See this document for more details.
Symptom
Sometimes firewalls or security software or NAT can affect the method of connection to the repository.
The issues can be similar to this error.
$ yum install xxxx https://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/ibmi/products/pase/rpms/repo/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#7 - "Failed to connect to public.dhe.ibm.com port 443: Connection refused" Trying other mirror. Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: ibm. Please verify its path and try again
