OverviewThe Notes window is called from many screens, and allows notes to be entered for a particular record. Each time a user adds a note, that note is appended to the top of the existing notes, along with the username and a datestamp. The Notes field is where one can identify the authority for making a change and provides an important audit feature. A Note should be created whenever action is taken on a record to change from the default settings. This rule is particularly important for the following fields:
