Troubleshooting
Problem
This document describes the exit point that is used by the OLE DB provider shipped with IBM® iSeries™ Access for Windows when connecting to the DDM TCP/IP server.
Resolving The Problem
The IBM i Access OLE DB provider can access four different Host Server programs:
- Optimized Data Queue server
- Database server
- Remote Command and Distributed Program Call server
- DDM server
The IBM i Access data providers access the DDM server for record-level access functions.
Technical details and a sample exit program are available at:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=attributes-ddm-request-access-ddmacc-network-attribute
The DDM Exit is not in the IBM i products registration information (WRKREGINF) but instead is specified in the "DDM/DRDA request access" (DDMACC) network attribute parameter. To set this parameter, enter the following from an IBM OS/400 or IBM i5/OS command line:
CHGNETA DDMACC(YourLIB/YourPGM)
