Question
After installing remote poller, remote poller service fails to start with ODBC drivers error.
Cause
After installing remote poller, try to start the lsfpoller service by the following command:
# service lsfpollerd start
The following errors are being reported:
ERROR:ODBC reconnection Failed: S1000 [unixODBC] [MySQL] [ODBC 3.51 Driver]Unknow MySQL server host '<hostname>'
This is caused by missing proper configuration in /etc/odbc.ini and /etc/odbcinst.ini on the remote poller host.
