Problem
Attempts to install or upgrade IBM Rational Robot on Windows Vista result in error "NutCracker Service is running".
Symptom
When you install or upgrade Rational® Robot on Microsoft® Windows® Vista®, the NutCracker service does not stop automatically. The installation process cannot continue when the NutCracker service is running.
This issue has been identified as a product defect under RATLC01348629.
Resolving The Problem
WORKAROUND
- First stop the NutCracker service.
- Start the Rational Robot installation procedure.
- Re-start the NutCracker service.
