Troubleshooting
Problem
When user updates the IBM Rational Software Architect Designer 9.6 or IBM Rational Software Architect Designer for WebSphere Software 9.6 to the latest version 9.6.1 by using Installation Manager update, NodeJS runtime will be missing in the Java script runtimes list.
Symptom
Here are sample scenarios to identify this issue:
Scenario 1:
1. Launch IBM Rational Software Architect Designer product
2. Select Window -> Preferences option
3. Preferences dialog will be opened.
3. Select JavaScript -> Runtimes option as shown in the dialog
Node.js Runtime option will be missing in the drop-down list.
Scenario 2:
1. Launch the IBM Rational Software Architect Designer product
2. Open Error Log view.
3. Verify if the error log has the Framework Event Error entries as shown below:
