Installing SRM 7.1 with a DB2 database & where the database user name specified in the base service install is different than the default value 'MAXIMO', the SRM 7.1 installation of the "Service Desk" option would fail with an updatedb error. In the same configuration, with the "Service Catalog" option, it will fail with an updatedb error----"java.lang.Exception: DATABASE SCRIPT UPDATE COMPLETED WITH ERROR. "MAXIMO.MAXSEQ" is an undefined name"
Work around:
The SRM 7.1 Install process does not support defer deployment flags. In order to correct/perform an install of SRM 7.1 where the DB2 database schema name is generic, the following processes can to be performed.
1. When the "Service Desk" option was selected for install, and the updatedb error has occured, you need to unzip the SRM Service Desk deployment zip folders into the $MAXIMOTOP directory (default is c:/IBM/SMP/MAXIMO ).
a. cd to where you have the SRM71.zip
b. unzip the SRM71.zip if you have not done so
c. cd to INSTALL\SRM\INSTALL, unzip ServiceRequestManager71.zip to ServiceRequestManager71
d. cd to ServiceRequestManager71\FILES, unzip ServiceDesk.zip to ServiceDesk
f. cd to ServiceDesk\FILES, copy incident_pmp_deploy.zip, problem_pmp_deploy.zip, solution_pmp_deploy.zip, srvreq_pmp_deploy.zip, tdi_integration_enablement.zip, trc_integration_deployment.zip, tsd_common_deploy.zip to $MAXIMOTOP
g. cd $MAXIMOTOP and unzip the zip files to $MAXIMOTOP
h. copy this file XXXXX to $MAXIMOTOP/tools/maximo/en/sdimea/V710_14.db2
i. cd to where you have expanded SRM71.zip and run the launchpad.exe
j. select the Service Request Manager product install, and select on the option "Managed Survey" and install the Survey product. Or select the install option for "Service Desk Content BP" or "Service Desk Content Classifications" and install one of these. This will perform the updatedb and ear deployment.
2. When the "Service Catalog" option was selected for install, and the updatedb error has occured, you need to unzip the SRM Service Catalog deployment zip folders into the $MAXIMOTOP directory (default is c:/IBM/SMP/MAXIMO )
a. cd to where you have the SRM71.zip
b. unzip the SRM71.zip if you have not done so
c. cd to INSTALL\SRM\INSTALL, unzip ServiceRequestManager71.zip to ServiceRequestManager71
d. cd to ServiceRequestManager71\FILES, unzip ServiceCatalog_PMP_7.1.zip into ServiceCatalog_PMP_7.1 folder.
e. cd to ServiceCatalog_PMP_7.1\FILES, and copy ServCatPMPDeploy.zip to $MAXIMOTOP directory.
f. cd $MAXIMOTOP and unzip the zip files to $MAXIMOTOP
g. copy this file YYYYYY to $MAXIMOTOP/tools/maximo/en/pmsc/V710_07.db2
h. cd to where you have expanded SRM71.zip and run the launchpad.exe
i. select the Service Request Manager product install, and select on the option "Managed Survey" and install the Survey product. Or select the install option for "Service Desk Content BP" or "Service Desk Content Classifications" , or the "Service Catalog Content - User" and install one of these. This will perform the updatedb and ear deployment.
