Troubleshooting
Problem
When attempting to backup a file in use by Quicken Quick Books or other applications that hold files open, CDP or FastBack for Workstations displays a popup message and an Error 32 gets reported in the Replication.log. The backup software attempts to perform a backup on the file, but is unable to because the application has the file open. This results in a sharing violation.
Resolving The Problem
The current work around for this issue is add the applications type of files to the scheduled include list, then select a time for scheduled backup to occur when the application is not in use.
