Troubleshooting

Problem

User cannot order offerings after UpdateTool is run to change the SITEID associated with the offering. When ordering a service error "BMXAA2076E - Please specify an item number in a valid status" is displayed.

Symptom

To recreate:

1. Run UpdateTool specifying a new SITEID in the input file. For example, using the default input file updateTool.properties, the SITEID for all offerings would get set to EAGLENA.
2. Sign on with a user that has a "Default Insert Site" that is not equal to the new SITEID specified in the previous step. For example, sign on with PMSCSRUUSR, which by default has a "Default Insert Site" value of PMSCRTP.
3. Gotoo Offering Catalog.
4. Click on any offering.

Cause

UpdateTool modifies the SITEID associated with the offering. When you sign on with a user that has a "Default Insert Site" value that is differrent from the value specified in the content data, the error message is displayed.

Resolving The Problem

Update the user's "Default Insert Site" to match the site that the offerings are associated with.
