5. The libraries are supported with any LTO drives that are supported by IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Server. The library and drive configuration must be supported by the hardware vendor.

6. The following LTO drives are available

• HP Ultrium 6 HH FC with firmware 22EB and later revisions
• HP Ultrium 6 HH SAS with firmware 32CB and later revisions
• IBM LTO-5 HH FC with firmware E6Q3 and later revisions
• IBM LTO-6 HH FC with firmware E6R3 and later revisions
• IBM LTO-6 HH SAS with firmware E6Q3 and later revisions
• IBM Ultrium 7 HH drives (FC and SAS) with firmware G341 and later revisions
• IBM Ultirum 8 HH drives (FC and SAS) with HB81 and later revisions

Ultrium 7 support requires IBM Spectrum Protect Server 7.1.3 or later

Ultrium 8 support requires IBM Spectrum Protect Server 8.1.4 or later

Ultrium M8 media is not supported

7. The IBM device driver is required for IBM LTO Ultrium drives. IBM device drivers are available at IBM Fix Central. Choose the following options from the drop-down menus.

• Product Group -> System Storage
• System Storage -> Tape systems
• Tape systems -> Tape drivers and software
• Tape drivers and software -> Tape device drivers
• Platform -> Select the platform for the device driver

Library and drive may require different minimum TSM levels. Therefore, ensure that both library and drive hardware are supported. See "Supported Devices for AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and Windows" or "Supported Devices for Linux" for minimum supported version levels and platforms for these devices.
